Transforming Ideas into Intelligent Solutions
WZ Solutions builds enterprise software, AI-powered platforms and mobile applications for organisations across Africa and internationally. We are engineers first — the company exists because we wanted to build systems properly, on our own terms.
To turn business challenges into intelligent digital solutions — building high-quality software, mobile applications, enterprise platforms, artificial intelligence and technology services that drive innovation, efficiency and sustainable growth for our clients.
To build intelligent digital solutions that accelerate organisational transformation through innovation, software engineering and technical excellence.
To be a reference across Africa in software development and digital transformation, recognised for innovation, technical excellence and technology products that have a positive impact on companies, institutions and communities.
Long-term vision (2035): To build an ecosystem of innovative digital products used across Africa, positioning WZ Solutions among the leading African companies in software engineering, artificial intelligence and enterprise solutions.
To create technology that simplifies processes, improves decision-making and generates value for organisations and people.
What these actually mean day to day
Values are only worth stating if they change a decision. Here is what each of ours changes.
Innovation
We continuously look for new ways to solve problems through technology.
Excellence
We deliver solutions to high standards of quality, performance and reliability.
Integrity
We act with ethics, transparency and accountability in every relationship.
Security
Protecting information and privacy is built into every solution we develop.
Client Focus
We understand what clients need and build solutions that produce concrete results.
Continuous Learning
We invest permanently in knowledge, innovation and technological progress.
Impact
We build technology that contributes to organisational growth and to economic and social development.
From 2019 to today
A short history of how the capability came together — each step driven by a client problem we did not want to solve badly.
2019
Founded in Maputo
WZ Solutions starts as a small engineering team building custom systems for local organisations.
2021
First enterprise platform
Delivery of a full commercial platform for a utility operator establishes the domain focus that still shapes our work.
2023
Mobile and field operations
Offline-first mobile engineering becomes a core capability, driven by clients working in low-connectivity environments.
2024
AGUASOS goes live
Our water utility management platform reaches production, covering meter reading through to reconciled payment.
2025
AI engineering practice
A dedicated practice forms around applied AI: document intelligence, forecasting and retrieval systems grounded in client data.
2026
Product portfolio
The WZ product line expands beyond AGUASOS into HR, Finance, CRM, Inventory and BI platforms on a shared engineering core.
Seven steps from idea to scale
The same delivery process on every engagement — so you always know what happens next, what you receive, and who is accountable.
- 01
Discover
Workshops with the people who do the work. We map the current process, quantify the problem and agree what success will be measured against before anyone writes code.
- Process map
- Scope and risk register
- Success metrics
- 02
Design
Architecture decisions recorded with their trade-offs, interface prototypes tested against real data volumes, and a design system implemented in code.
- Architecture decision records
- Interactive prototype
- Design system
- 03
Develop
Two-week increments, every one deployed to a shared environment. Code review and automated tests are part of the definition of done, not a later phase.
- Working software each sprint
- Test suite
- Sprint demos
- 04
Test
Functional, integration, performance, accessibility and security testing — with acceptance criteria agreed up front and verified by your team, not just ours.
- Test reports
- UAT sign-off
- Performance and a11y results
- 05
Deploy
Automated pipelines promote through environments. Migrations run with validation and reconciliation, and every release has a rollback that has been rehearsed.
- CI/CD pipeline
- Migration and cutover plan
- Rollback procedure
- 06
Support
Defined response times, monitored infrastructure, and a named engineer who knows your system. Incidents get a written root cause, not just a fix.
- SLA agreement
- Monitoring and alerting
- Root cause reports
- 07
Scale
Capacity reviewed against real usage, bottlenecks addressed before they bite, and the roadmap revisited quarterly with your team.
- Capacity review
- Performance tuning
- Quarterly roadmap
Who is accountable
Every engagement has a named technical owner. These are the people who set the standards they work to.
